·         Current Budget: $142,746.27

·         New Year: $60,000 more as of July 1st 2013

Earthfest Proposal……………………………………………………………………………………………………………….Chris Williams

o   Environmental education

o   Tables, awareness of Green Fee

o   Survey

·         Questions from Green Fee

o   Should we be funding bands? Using Green Fee money for entertainment is not necessarily a great use of the money

o   Raffle gift cards might could be donated

o   What is the river float? It will be a historical river float available for 20 students (first come first serve).

o   $300 for equipment and leaders

o   Need for quotes in order to allocate funds

o   Is the survey useful? There is a need for a more precise survey.

o   The event will happen even if the bands cannot join.

o   There is a conflict with the PA rental and services. Need to look for alternative places for rental

o   Vote will include: the advertisement, venture out river float, survey raffle, banner, Colonnade advertisement, tent

·         To recycle the light bulbs at the university right now it costs $700 every six months

·         Research

o   Cost reduction look over the next 5 yrs compared to the last 5 yrs

·         Working with physical plant right now they will replace everything after the initial material is bought

·         Physical plant will provide upkeep

·         Need for a letter of permission
